Birthday time

We celebrated with Will's Mom and surprised her on her birthday tonight and brought pizza and bread sticks for dinner out to her house and angel food cake with strawberries. We had to get back to our house for a meeting tonight so we didn't stay very long.  It was fun to surprise her.

New Nephew

Will and I got a new nephew on March 1st.  He was blessed in church today and so we went to see the family and help celebrate the big day.  We had a great time with family!  The baby is so sweet and it was such a treat to get to hold him!

Happy Birthday! Happy Easter!

For Will's birthday we were able to explore this area near our home a little bit...
...and go fishing in the boat...

...and eat some super yummy food with Heidi's parents at Tucano's...
...and play a friendly game of flag football with family.
As part of celebrating Easter we had a small egg hunt in the front yard of Will's parent's home.  It was a beautiful Spring day and I'm glad we got to have a fun time with family.

Wrestling

Will is a high school wrestling coach.  They just finished the season and had a great year.  He enjoys the sport, as well as helping the athletes succeed in life.  These photos were taken at their district tournament.

Ice Fishing

Will and I ventured out into the frigid cold a few weeks ago and went ice fishing with some friends from church.  It was very cold.  We had fun.  I'm glad the sun was out and shining because that helped us stay warm.
We caught bluegill, trout, and bass.  It was a fun day to be out!

Christmas Time

We got our Christmas tree up last weekend.  I have really enjoyed having it up all week so far and will continue to enjoy it this month.  It's already December 1st--wow!

My Christmas tree is an artificial pre-lit tree with white lights on it.  Nothing fancy.  It's a hand-me-down tree from my oldest brother.  It has worked very well for us.  It is a "Memory Tree", meaning that the ornaments are mostly all just ones we have collected over the years and growing up, and from places we have been on vacation, etc.  Ones that have special meaning to us.  For this reason I love decorating the tree because I get to unwrap all my ornaments out of the box and remember each and every reason that I have them, and where we got them, or who gave them to us, etc.  It is so fun!
